The White House is Up for Grabs
Well, I think that all my past ranting about the war and President Bush vs Senator Kerry, is pretty much irrelevant in the face of the upcoming presidential election. Until the final vote, all bets are off. It is a fight over a war that must be condemned or justified, and in the end, the best man standing will claim the seat of Presidency.
The more I look at it, the more I am seeing how the dilemma in Iraq could have been approached a bit differently. I don't think there will ever be a "perfect" way that we could have gone about it, but there are perhaps a few less-costly ways it could've been done. As I look at both parties, Republican and Democratic, I am taking into consideration each of their objectives and cases for taking office. I would like to think that our president would be capable of delivering what he promises, and that he would have the moral courage to make the hard decisions and stand firm in what he says. President Bush possesses these qualities, which are evident in his action concerning Iraq and how he dealt with the Sept 11th attacks in 2001. He also has the courage to stand and speak freely of his Faith in the forever critcizing and crucifying public eye. Yet the current issues that we face right now are evidence that Bush's track record in the past 4 years is not the most stellar, and I think that most Americans can agree with me. On the flip-side, Sen. Kerry is a crusty-ass schmuck, who's fickle stance on current and political issues changes daily. So if I had to vote on consistancy and basic backbone fundamentals, then Bush would be a no-brainer.
Do I think that the Bush Administration has made some choices which have resulted in the tarnishing of our country's great reputation among certain allies, who have, up until now, supported America's decisions in the name of Foreign Policy?
I would have to say, yes I do. But these are also countries who have taken a back seat to our involvement in many wars and battles, only to hide behind our shadow as we have even helped liberate a number of them in the process. So this cowardess on their part isn't just isolated to the invasion in Iraq. These are countries who are headed by pussy-ass leaders who don't have the courage to commit to such a responsibility, as past wars even, which the Leaders and Armed-Forces of America have so selflessly taken on to this day. This also doesn't change the fact that John Kerry is a dumb-ass, and that Democratics are gay. Come to think about it, Republicans need to get their shit together as well, if they are to win the coming election. Let's just hope that the next man in office can finish what has been started in Iraq, and that he can re-establish trust and support from the rest of the foreign world abroad.
And if the situation in Iraq can't be resolved effectively, I say we just drop a force of Marines and allow them to unleash their wrath upon the whole damn Middle East!!!
